Comment: Good atmosphere and very friendly staff, especially the two fat men....Food is really good, well done chef.

Comment: Sunday lunch was fantastic in all departments. Atmosphere, food and service. The portly chappie (Mark) was very welcoming and looked after us exceptionally well. We will be going again very soon and are very happy to tell others just how good the food is.

Comment: Just back home having had lunch with my family at the Plough and Anchor. Thank you so much for squeezing our late booking for 11 people in at short notice. Without exception, we all felt the experience we had at the pub was superb. Every mouthful of food was delicious. All the staff that we encountered from the bar to the table were friendly and welcoming. The ambiance was perfect with the fire crackling away and the decor just right. We will definitely be back.

Comment: Had the most wonderful birthday lunch today - Stuart (chef) cooked us beef wellington which was the tops. His star anise carrots are also to die for! Anyone who reads this should make tracks to this pub as soon as possible - fabulous food and lovely, lovely people who do everything to make you welcome. Thanks guys, will see you again soon.

Comment: Hi guys - thanks for a fantastic evening last Friday for Burns night - food was great as always, compliments to the kitchen and you guys are always such great hosts. I've never been a bagpipes lover but I'm a convert now, the young guy playing was brilliant. We'll see you on the 23rd for your Italian Wine Event.

Comment: Drive this route from time to time and watched with interest as this went from building to launch and finally, today, got time to stop ... what can i say. The food was excellent and the staff really welcoming. Can't waiting to be "passing by" again perhaps for dinner the next time.

Comment: My Husband and I wnt to the Plough & Anchor for a meal Thurs night. It was on the summer special menu (steak burger night). We had a fantastic meal, along with excellent service. Will definately go back.
